My core activity and main subject of interest is building software. Not just some software, but modern, feature-rich and daring software architectures, used in the real world. To achieve this goal SoftwareMasters.nl remains continuously up-to-date with the newest trends and developments in the IT technology, trying to use them as soon as possible in the developed software projects. It's not just a preference, it's rather a necessity! Fast-paced development in our profession, while often confusing to the outsiders, has a well defined goal, a goal which I actively and strongly support. The goal is to build software that's fast, intelligent, rock-stable and secure, while at the same time it's people-friendly and just pleasant in daily use.

Below you can see a detailed overview of my arsenal : all the development environments, languages and tools, used every day, supported by knowledge, expertise and craftmanship:

  • Microsoft.NET platform: intimate knowledge and practical daily use of version 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0
  • Always ahead:  hands-on practice with newest Microsoft.NET and web development technologies, before they even see the official daylight. At this moment I'm busy with the newcoming release of Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0 and it's core blocks such as Windows Workflow Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation, Microsoft ATLAS Framework
  • ASP.NET platform for building internet applications and web portals, service-connected systems
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and 2003 with C# as a main programming language, used for building large scale distributed and networked applications, componentized and service-oriented architectures based on sound OO frameworks
  • Microsoft .NET Compact Framework for building application for Windows Mobile system on PDA's and smartphones
  • Web Services and component-based programming used daily for building heterogenous distributed applications of all kinds, with the help of .NET components and web services, as well as classic COM/DCOM components
  • Borland Delphi: 12-years long intensive experience in using Delphi and Object Pascal for building ambitious client-server applications following the OOP rules of development
  • SQL database programming language: intimate knowledge, practiced on such databases as Microsoft SQL Server 97, 2000 and 2005, Interbase, Oracle or Microsoft Access. Years-long practical use of object-oriented persistence frameworks for a more structured manner of handling relations between object models and their relational-database representations
  • HTML, XHTML and CSS being practically a native language for making intelligent thin-client applications and web portals
  • XML and XSL used intensively for data interchange or for building elastic and user-defineable web interfaces
  • AJAX, JavaScript and VBScript : web scripting languages combined with intelligent ASP.NET back-end for building responsive and feature-rich web interfaces, and used long before AJAX got it's official name!
  • daily use of agile development methods: object-oriented design and modelling, well-structured development process, unit testing, sound documentation, use of version control tools, project management tools
